Happy Birthday to Me!

36 years old and still having ice-skating parties. A friend of mine told another friend he was going to a skating party and he said - oh for a niece or nephew - and he said - no - just a friend. It was a fun weekend. Friday night basically relaxed and slept. Danielle cleaned and cooked. Saturday got to sleep in late. Went to Shul (KOE) where a friend had brought in Marzipan Rugaluch (Thanks Simon). Then for lunch had some friends over. Then played some grab scrabble. Off to see my father out on Long Island. Back into the city for some VIVA pizza. And topped off the evening with my new favorite pasttime... hot chocolate at the Metro Diner on Broadway and 100th Street. Then today basically slept in again, interviewed some new nannies and off to Lasker Rink in Central Park. ( Partly annoyed that TRUMP has his name on everything but OTOH, they might not be around if Trump didn't put money (or debt) into it. About 15 - 20 people showed up and Danielle baked this amazing brownie cookie dough cake that rocked. Thanks Danielle. Happy 36th birthday.

The real haircut back in NYC at a real hair stylist...

Holy short hair Batman! He looks like a different kid! What happened to our son's beautiful hair? Will the real slim shady please get off the couch. I guess we all have to move on sometime... Now no one thinks he looks like a girl...

Actual cutting of Isaac's Hair

Do you like the whole analogous situation to the sacrifice of Isaac on Mount Moriah and cutting Isaac's hair with the mountain in the background. Pretty good symbolism huh?

Avenue Q and thank you Danielle

Just got back from a fun night out on the town with Danielle. First dinner at Zenith - vegetarian restaurant on 49th street or somewhere in that area. Then we saw Avenue Q - it was AMAZING! 2 thumbs up. I loved it
it was hilarious, the singing was great, lyrics and storyline clever and even the choreography was fantastic. Then we ended up in the new AOL - Time Warner Center at 10 Columbus Circle for my friend Matt's birthday bash at the Stone Rose. Great views of central park and fun to be with friends. Overall I would have to say a perfect Saturday night. Thanks Danielle - that was my Hanukkah present.

Chanuka New Year 2006 in NYC

We got home late from visiting my Dad in the rehab center. He isn't doing so well these days with Parkinson's and a recent partial hip replacement surgery. So we lit the 7th candle pretty we were watching Dick Clark's Rockin New years eve. Truth is that Dick sounds and looks like my father...which makes me think that my Dad also can start hosting new years rockin eve. Now THAT would be entertaining... I can just see my dad and dick whooping it up in Times Square. What a site!
